Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is a gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast who has led team U.S. team to victories in the years 2012 and 2016. Aly Raisman has Six Olympic medals, and two World Championships gold medals. The native of Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's enthusiasm for sport can be traced back to her first "mommy and me" gymnastics class she attended as an eighteen-month-old. Aly has been an active advocate for body positive and is also an advocate and a leader on the floor. She has recently spoken out in Larry Nassar's sentencing case. Aly Raisman was born in 1994 and began her gymnastic career very early in her age. She played a role in helping her country's U.S. Gymnastics Team win the 2011 World Championships. In 2012, the gymnast won two gold medals in the London Olympics the first in the team event and the other in individual floor exercises - in addition to winning a bronze in the beam. Raisman was back at the Olympics again in Rio in the year 2016, securing two silver medals. One in each of the all-around as well as floor exercises, and one in the gymnastics teams for women. Raisman made a shocking revelation in the year 2017. She had been victimized sexually by an ex-team physician Larry Nassar. In the year following, Raisman sued USA Gymnastics.
