Demetria Devonne "Demi" Lovato was born on the 20th of August, 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Dianna De La Garza, who was a ex- Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, and Patrick Martin Lovato, an musician and engineer, who was brought up in Dallas, Texas. Demi started her acting career as a child actress on 'Barney & Friends.' The actress was offered a part in a Disney Channel short called "As the Bell Rings" and then landed the part of the lead in the movie Camp Rock. Demi Lovato wrote three songs in the Camp Rock soundtrack as they were filming the movie. Her music has been released on several singles since.
